Grace-full Parenting – Committing to Nurturing the Souls of our Children |
| Prior to the birth of our children, mothers frequently pass the days of our pregnancies studying “what to expect” books and manuals, pondering each passing phase and development. However, many new parents find themselves swamped once the child arrives, and parenting manuals frequently gather dust on the bookshelves as well intentioned moms and dads struggle just to keep everyone fed, clothed and relatively clean. By the time our children reach school age, most of us are so busy driving them to their various activities that we take little time for parenting enrichment. |

Laughing and Loving – One Mom’s Take On the Insanity of Parenting |
| I first “met” Lisa Barker over six years ago through my CatholicMom.com web site’s message board. I don’t think I knew her by anything other than her moniker “Little Mom” for the first several years of our acquaintance. What I did know, however, from those very first days, was that the woman could write! As busy as my days were, I always made time to read Lisa’s posts on the message board. She had the stunning capacity to blend spiritual insight with a lighthearted humor that never failed to touch me. I knew it was only a matter of time until I’d be promoting Lisa’s work through my CatholicMom.com Book Club. |

Wisdom for Successful Parenting |
| Relationships are paramount to successful parenting. Most important is our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Children will notice when we show our love for the Lord by trying to speak and act in ways that please Him. As we grow in our faith, our ability to be godly parents will grow too. |

Guilt Free Parenting |
| I don’t know about you, but I do guilt very well. At times, it seems like I can feel guilty for almost anything. Also, as a parent I mess up routinely. I can be short with my temper and my words are not always pleasant. Also, there seems to be a new parenting article out daily that tells you how to parent and of course it feels like to me anyway that I always come up short. My hunch is I am not the only one that feels that way. So, how do I have the audacity to come up with an article entitled, “Guilt Free Parenting”? Actually, it wasn’t totally my idea. God placed the idea and burden on my heart to share it with you. |

A Jonah Look-Alike |
| Have you ever looked like Jonah? I sure have! Oh, I'm not talking about how he looked after being puked out of the whale, I'm talking about his selfishness. There have been plenty of times when I've been more concerned about myself, and how comfortable I am, than I've been about whether people hear about God's love and forgiveness. |

Tangled Reflections |
 | The bathroom mirror reflected more than outward appearances that day.
Nancy's grim face was lined with frustration, and her eight-year-old
daughter was shrieking with anger.
"Moooooom, You're hurrrrrrrrting my head! STOP!" Splotchy patches of pink covered Melissa's tear-stained face. |

A glimpse of REAL-ESTEEM! |
 | Today, I thought it would be a good idea to give you a glimpse into our new book, REAL-ESTEEM: Your children need you more than you know!
When we look at the culture today, we often wonder what is going on in the minds of our youth. In this country, we are able to obtain wealth and material possessions very readily. We have more opportunities to learn and attain vast amounts of knowledge from books, television and the Internet. We also have the luxury of enjoying entertainment and fun activities during any normal week.

The secret to secure kids |
 | In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. (Proverbs 14:26)
All parents want their children to grow up secure. This proverb provides a simple prescription that, in the Message's paraphrase, makes the "world safe for your children." |

Traveling with Your Grandkids |
 | Some grandparents do it to be fair to all the siblings. Some grandparents do it so cousins get to know each other. Some grandparents simply love having all, or at least a group of their grandchildren together while on a vacation. However, unless your grandkids are twins or same-age cousins, you should consider the challenges -- and pleasures -- that age differences create before planning that big trip with the grandkids. |

Getting Outdoors With Your Toddler |
 | As the weather warms and families come out to play, moms and dads often wonder how they can keep their toddler busy outdoors while spending quality time together. There’s no need to stock up on hundreds of dollars worth of toys or fancy games. Just a few strategic playthings powered by children and their imaginations are all parents need to get outdoors with their toddler. |
